Indications for use

Teoveksal is used to help prevent and treat bleeding caused by systemic or local fibrinolysis, including:
 
• heavy or irregular menstrual bleeding;
 
• gastrointestinal bleeding;
 
• bleeding after surgery on the prostate or urinary tract;
 
• bleeding during operations in the nose, mouth, or throat (such as adenoid removal, tonsil surgery, or tooth extraction);
 
• bleeding during major surgical procedures in the chest, abdomen, or heart;
 
• obstetric and gynecological bleeding, including after gynecological surgery;
 
• bleeding caused by the use of fibrinolytic medicines.
