Indications for use

Treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases caused by ofloxacin-sensitive microorganisms: pyelonephritis and complicated urinary tract infections, prostatitis, epididymitis, orchitis; pelvic organ infections (as part of combination therapy); sepsis (caused by the above mentioned infections of the genitourinary system).

Ofloxacin may be used only as an alternative to other antimicrobials for the treatment of the following infectious and inflammatory diseases: skin and soft tissue infections; bone and joint infections; cystitis, uncomplicated urinary tract infections; acute sinusitis; exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, community-acquired pneumonia; prophylaxis of infections caused by ofloxacin-sensitive microorganisms in patients with a significant decrease in immune status (e.g., neutropenia).

When using ofloxacin, official national recommendations for the appropriate use of antibacterial drugs should be taken into account, as well as the sensitivity of pathogens in a particular region.
