Bupivacaine

Application area

• Surgical anesthesia in adults and children over 12 years of age;

• acute pain in adults and children older than 1 year;

• infiltration anesthesia, when a long-term anesthetic effect is required, for example, with postoperative pain;

• conduction anesthesia with a prolonged effect or epidural anesthesia in cases in which the addition of epinephrine is contraindicated and significant muscle relaxation is undesirable;

• OB anesthesia;

• with intrathecal administration: spinal anesthesia for surgical operations on the lower extremities, including operations on the hip joint, lasting 3-4 hours and where no pronounced motor block is required.
