On May 19, the «Three Hearts», Independent nonprofit organization, Center for support of children with congenital defects and their parents held an annual holiday. The event was dedicated to the Children's Heart Day for patients of the Rehabilitation center for children with heart deceases in the Bakulev Scientific Center of Cardiovascular Surgery and in the Republican Perinatal Center of the Republic of Karelia. Solopharm partnered the event and supported the printing of books with therapeutic fairy tales for children with developmental disabilities, including those with congenital heart disease. The stories were created by our colleagues from the «Three hearts» team.
The purpose of this event is to show children and their parents how important it is to take care of their health, and that early prevention and diagnosis of heart diseases will allow to detect any changes in time and solve possible problems in advance.
This year, the topic of the holiday is to inform about the need for preventive measures and diagnosis of congenital heart disease at all stages of life: beginning from pregnancy and until old age. Little patients were allowed to put on a doctor's gown and, under the supervision of doctors, conduct a preventive examination of their parents and grandparents. In addition, the wards of the rehabilitation center and their parents were able to study a heart structure and learn about the rules of prevention. Thus, little patients changed their places with adults for a while and tried a doctor’s role. The artists of the «Teresa Durova theater» showed the guests «The Coccinellas», a beautiful theater performance. At the end of the event, everyone could knit their own friendship bracelet and receive memorable gifts.
