From July 27th to July 31st, 2022, the SB20 Russian Sailing Championship will be held in the waters of the Gulf of Finland (SB20 is a high-speed three / four-seater sports yacht with rig). Such competitions are carried out once a year and gather the strongest crews from all over the country. Solopharm stands for sport and healthy lifestyle and has been supporting the championship for the second year already.
Let us remember that Oleg Zherebtsov, Solopharm General Director, has been developing sailing in Russia for a long time. In 2008-2009, he organized a team to participate in the VolvoOceanRace, the world regatta, when Russian athletes competed in a world-class sailing race for the first time. And in 2010 he brought the first SB20 yachts to Russia. Soon Oleg Zherebtsov founded the SB20 National Yachts Association in order to popularize and develop sailing in Russia, improve sportsmanship and reveal the strongest athletes.
The SB20 yacht is suitable for both professionals and beginners, it is impossible to roll over on it, so you can sail even with children. Now the SB20 class yacht fleet is presented by more than 800 boats in 20 countries around the world.
Sport and health - these concepts are close, they are inseparable and go side-by-side towards a common goal. Therefore, Solopharm is always ready to support athletes and help them organize and hold such events. Sailing is all about risk, courage and initiative. According to Oleg Zherebtsov: «Yachting is firstly about work, pleasure comes secondly, but it's worth it!»
The championship will be held in two scoring groups - professionals and amateurs. In total, 12 races are planned to be taken from July 27 to 31, the winners and prize-winners will receive prizes, diplomas and medals. The crews that will take the first places in official and non-official standings will be awarded with the following titles respectively: the SB20 Champion of Russia and the SB20 Championship Winner among amateurs.
