In the St. Petersburg branch of the S.N. Fedorov National Medical Research Center «Eye Microsurgery», all-Russian scientific symposium was held. This symposium was dedicated to the topic «Modern achievements in laser ophthalmic surgery» and Oleg Zherebtsov, Solopharm General Director took part in it.
More than 700 experts from various parts of Russia gathered to discuss topical issues related to eye surgery. The mixed format of the event allowed participants to make presentations online, and listeners who were not able to attend the symposium personally, could ask questions to the speakers and get answers in real time in the chat.
This December, the St. Petersburg branch of the «Eye Microsurgery» National Center will turn 35 years old. During this period about 800.000 microsurgical operations and about 9.000 operations for laser cataract extraction were carried out. The number of performed femtosecond laser operations exceeded 30.000.
«There is nothing more important than feeling healthy» - Oleg Zherebtsov noted in his speech. He appreciated the specialists for their noble work and said that Solopharm for the entire period of its existence has produced 34 drugs for eye diseases treatment. These medicines are actively exported, and the company's production facilities develop annually in different therapeutic niches.
Oleg Zherebtsov also emphasized the importance of high-quality domestic medicines development. In his opinion, it is especially important, when citizens have the financial opportunity to purchase them, so Solopharm uses all resources to make the costs of treatment acceptable.
