World Sight Day: A Reminder of the Importance of Eye Care

Today, October 9, is World Sight Day — a date intended to remind us how important it is to protect one of our most vital senses.

According to the WHO, approximately 2.2 billion people worldwide live with some form of vision impairment, and nearly half of these cases could have been prevented or corrected with timely diagnosis and proper care.

At Solopharm, we place a special focus on ophthalmology. Our portfolio includes modern and accessible eye health products that help doctors and patients maintain their quality of life.

But eye care starts with each of us. The majority of our company's employees — like millions of people around the world — spend a great deal of time in front of computers, smartphones, or tablets. Eye fatigue, dryness, and reduced concentration are common companions in the digital age.

What Can You Do Right Now?

A simple and effective way to support eye health is through regular eye exercises. They take only a few minutes but can help relieve tension, improve blood circulation, and restore focus.

We have prepared a convenient exercise chart for you (see below). Repeat each exercise 5-6 times — and your eyes will thank you.

And Don't Forget

Regular check-ups with an ophthalmologist help detect problems at an early stage. Even if you have no complaints, it is advisable to have your vision checked at least once a year.

On this day, we want to wish each and every one of you: take care of your eyes. May your vision be clear and the world around you bright.
