On August 29, the Solopharm football team will begin its first season in the Premier Football Cup (PFC) Basic Conference, one of St. Petersburg’s notable premium amateur football tournaments.
This will be Solopharm’s debut season in the PFC. Eight teams will compete in the Basic Conference: Solopharm, SRT, GxQ, Anomaliya, Bazis, VkusVill, Goreltech and Lavina.
Premier Football Cup has been organizing football tournaments in St. Petersburg since 2014. The league brings together amateur teams and is built around the concept of “professional standards for amateurs.” Its organizers aim to go beyond a regular football match, placing particular emphasis on tournament quality, sporting atmosphere and the overall spectator experience.
For Solopharm, participation in the tournament marks another step in the development of the company’s corporate sports culture. The team is primarily made up of Solopharm employees who have decided to combine their passion for football with the opportunity to represent the company on the pitch.

«Our team is made up mainly of employees of the pharmaceutical company Solopharm. Our corporate values are care for people, high quality and rationality. We will try to bring this philosophy onto the football pitch as well — becoming a close-knit and competitive team of people who can rely on one another and who will be exciting opponents to play against,» said team captain Pavel Grishaev, Federal Pharmacy Chains Manager.
For Solopharm, the first season will primarily be an opportunity to gain match experience, build team chemistry and assess the level of competition.
«This will be our debut tournament, so finishing in the top half of the league table would be a positive result,» Pavel Grishaev noted.
According to the captain, the main long-term objective is to create a stable team of like-minded players capable of gradually pursuing more ambitious sporting goals.
«Our main goal for the season is to build a stable, well-coordinated team of like-minded people that, in the future, will be ready to take on the highest goals and challenges,» he emphasized.
