On the eve of the XXIX St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov, gave an interview to the publication "Vecherniy St. Petersburg" in which he spoke about the development of the city's economy, investment activity, and the implementation of major industrial projects. Among the most significant initiatives, the head of the city specifically highlighted the company Solopharm.
Responding to a question about which investments and projects the city is most proud of, the Governor emphasized the special role of the pharmaceutical industry in ensuring the country's drug security, particularly thanks to Solopharm.
«The President of Russia has set very serious tasks for import substitution in this area. All leading companies of the St. Petersburg pharmaceutical cluster are working to solve them.»
Then, as one of the important examples, Alexander Beglov named Solopharm:
«One of the important investment projects is the construction of a plant for the production of liquid sterile dosage forms by Solopharm.»
The Governor also noted the wide range of areas in which the company operates. The head of the city paid special attention to the scale and technological level of the project being implemented.
Furthermore, Alexander Beglov emphasized:
«The project has been granted the status of a strategic investment project, and the company 'Grotex' has been granted the status of a strategic investor of St. Petersburg. <...> The project is being implemented using the investor's own funds, with a total investment of over 15 billion rubles.»
In the interview, Alexander Beglov specifically stressed the project's significance for achieving national goals:
«The expansion of pharmaceutical production meets the national goals of ensuring drug security and technological sovereignty.»
The mention of Solopharm by the Governor of St. Petersburg among the city's key investment projects confirms the importance of the company's work for the development of the domestic pharmaceutical industry and the strengthening of Russia's technological independence.
«For us, it is especially significant that Solopharm's projects are recognized at the level of the St. Petersburg leadership as a contribution to the development of high-tech industry, drug security, and the technological sovereignty of the country.
